🖥️ What you can expect in a role as a receptionist:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Patient Interaction: 

• Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously
• Assist patients with appointment scheduling
• Explain intake forms to new patients

2. Administrative Tasks: 

• Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently
• Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing)
• Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC/CTP, DVA and Workcover
• Handle internal emails and inquiries
• Maintain a tidy reception waiting area

3. Collaboration: 

• Work autonomously and as part of a team
• Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously
• Fill in the roster when staff are on annual or sick leave
• Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records

4. Confidentiality: 

• Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality
• Complete recalls and follow privacy protocols
