‘Say Again?’
Komatsu is committed to building an inclusive workplace that values diversity and promotes respectful behaviour. Our internal initiative, called ‘Say Again?’, reinforces this focus by providing a platform for open and constructive conversations that can lead to positive change. Designed to address inappropriate or unconscious comments and behaviour, ‘Say Again?’ encourages individuals to call out such behaviour without being confrontational. This initiative provides an opportunity for every member of the Komatsu network to contribute to a more inclusive culture by challenging harmful behaviours and promoting respect for all. We believe that by embracing this initiative, we can continue to build a workplace culture that values diversity, encourages inclusivity, and fosters collaboration and innovation.

First Nations People
Komatsu Australia has been partnering with the Clontarf Foundation since 2019 to support the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women.
This partnership aims to equip them to participate more meaningfully in society.
To strengthen our relationship with Clontarf, we have expanded our support to a national level. We are committed to sharing job advertisements and attending all Clontarf events throughout the year. Moreover, we are working closely with Clontarf on our apprenticeship program to increase the 4% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation rate.
Our commitment to supporting Indigenous communities goes beyond employing Indigenous people in our organization. We want to contribute to Indigenous community programs that help Indigenous people achieve their vocational dreams and support Indigenous entrepreneurs in starting their new ventures. We are willing to invest in these programs without expecting direct benefits, but instead, we measure how our investment is benefiting the communities, organizations, and education institutions we invest in. By doing so, we aim to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of Indigenous people and their communities.
STEM
Komatsu has been a proud partner of the Beacon Foundation for over 15 years, working towards supporting young people to make a successful transition from education to meaningful employment. At Komatsu, we are committed to investing in the future of our communities, and we see our partnership with the Beacon Foundation as a key part of this.
